Mai is a 21-year-old Rising Leader and a third-year student at Souphanouvong University in Luang Prabang. Originally from Phieng District in Xayaboury Province, she is the oldest daughter in her family and comes from a farming household that relies on rice cultivation for their livelihood.

Mai’s goals center on deepening her self-understanding, building confidence in group settings, and learning how to lead and communicate effectively with others. She is eager to grow personally so she can work well in teams and build positive relationships. Looking ahead, Mai dreams of continuing her studies abroad and hopes one day to guide international visitors to her country and become a teacher, even as she continues to explore the steps needed to reach these goals.

Through Seeds4Hope, Mai has found encouragement, sisterhood, and practical learning that has supported her real-life growth. She values the guidance of older sisters and the strong community that uplifts one another during challenges. With interests in cooking, sports, travel, singing, drawing, and photography, Mai is committed to ongoing learning in areas such as technology, AI, computer skills, and relationship-building as she continues her leadership journey.
